Shocked Lottery Player Wins Big with MONOPOLY Scratch-Off
A popular MONOPOLY scratch-off ticket, licensed by Scientific Games, is distributed by the Maryland Lottery. The Baltimore County resident decided to test his luck with a $10 ticket.
He purchased the lucky ticket at Quick Mart 11 on 7801 Wise Avenue in Dundalk. To his amazement, he won a tier-two prize, turning his $10 bet into a massive $50,000 payout.
In an interview with a Lottery official, the winner admitted he initially expected a much smaller prize.
“I thought it would be $10. Even $500 would have been great,” he recalled.
However, the ticket revealed a $1,000 win alongside a 50X multiplier, skyrocketing his prize to $50,000.
“I couldn’t believe it. That amount was completely unexpected,” he said.
The lucky fisherman, who works in a warehouse, admitted he has no extravagant plans. He intends to use the winnings to pay some bills.
MONOPOLY Series Continues to Deliver Big Wins
Recently, the MONOPOLY scratch-off series has been on a hot streak.
A Baltimore County player won the first $50,000 top prize from MONOPOLY X20. Soon after, a couple claimed $1 million from a MONOPOLY X100 scratch-off ticket.
The latest MONOPOLY X50 win marked the first $50,000 tier-two prize. Nine more remain available.
Additionally, out of ten $100,000 top prizes, eight are still in play.
Introduced early last month, MONOPOLY X50 offers odds of 1 in 3.29. The $10 ticket provides chances to win prizes from $10 up to $100,000.
