WLA grants IGT recertification for iLottery operations
Recently, the World Lottery Association (WLA) recertified IGT’s iLottery operations, recognizing its adherence to Corporate Social Responsibility Standards and the Responsible Gaming Framework for Suppliers. This significant achievement highlights IGT’s commitment to mitigating problem gambling and maintaining global standards for gaming suppliers.
The recertification process involved a thorough evaluation by Gambling Integrity Services, a WLA-approved organization. Additionally, an independent auditor reviewed IGT’s compliance across eight critical sections of the WLA standards. These sections include employee training programs, marketing practices, stakeholder engagement, and service development, ensuring comprehensive adherence to responsible gaming principles.
IGT remains dedicated to responsible gaming and customer protection
Wendy Montgomery, IGT’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability, expressed her enthusiasm for the recertification. She emphasized that this recognition reaffirms IGT’s leadership in responsible gaming and its commitment to offering lottery customers worldwide responsible gaming technologies.
Montgomery highlighted the importance of the company’s Sustainable Play program and its dedication to integrity in operations. She noted that the WLA recertification endorses IGT’s efforts to protect its people, products, and processes. This achievement follows IGT’s recent iCAP Ready accreditation by the National Council on Problem Gambling, further showcasing its commitment to player protection and responsible gaming standards.
