The 56-year-old from Wayne County, who wishes to stay anonymous, initially thought he had won $30,000. After checking his “Make It Rein” ticket at a Speedway gas station in Livonia, he was astonished to learn he had actually won $300,000, one of the game’s top prizes.
The winner said he has followed the same morning ritual—buying coffee and a lottery ticket—for eight years. He plans to invest part of the winnings in his children’s college funds, buy a new car, and save the rest for the future.
